🎲Prologue

Dingos is a multiplayer open-world game with both visual novel and GTA elements. The game starts off with a visual-novelesque introduction to the Dingos metaverse, before transitioning to an open world with play-to-earn aspects.

Game prologue

The player starts off as the warden of the jail in which your Dingo is kept behind bars. Following a series of both mandatory and optional story missions, the player will progress through the prologue and influence the character traits of their Dingo. Completionists will be rewarded for completing secret, unmarked, and optional missions. Meanwhile, those preferring to quickly jump into the main game can skip the optional missions by strictly following the main storyline.

Furthermore, if you wish to reattempt the prologue, you could always return to it with a different Dingo NFT.

Karma system

Dingos employs a system which keeps track of your actions throughout the prologue and awards points on the karmic scale according to whether they were good or bad decisions. Through the warden as their teacher, your Dingo is taught to be good, bad, or stay relatively neutral. Essentially, your Dingo's environment is key in shaping their personality.

Depending on their karma score, your Dingo might permanently be altered. With negative karma, they might take on traits of the Yakuza, whereas Dingos with a positive score might take on traits of law enforcement. Each trait will unlock unique features in the open-world portion of the game, determining which missions will be available to them.

Some traits might only be available for very specific, hard to reach karma scores.

This karma system is mirrored in the main game in the moral system. Read more about that on the next page, Main game.
