🎮Main game

Dingos' main game is a multiplayer, GTA-styled open world filled with missions and minigames. Missions progress the story and unlocks important milestones and game features, whereas the latter largely serves as play to earn mechanics. Through collaborations with other projects, Dingos aims to bring together the Harmony metaverse. Expect to see utility for projects all over the blockchain.

Morality system

The city is an open world in which the player performs missions to progress the story and unlock additional minigames and play-to-earn features. Players are largely divided based on a morality system, with criminals on one end and law-abiding citizens on the other. Naturally, all shades of morality in between are also represented within the game. It is up to you to walk that thin line between the law and crime!

Dingos aims to emulate the idea of human nature as ever-evolving. Every action you perform will be placed somewhere on a spectrum of morality, awarding or subtracting points. The Prologue largely determines where you start off, but later on you may work towards change. Good players might start off working in law enforcement, pulling double shifts at the local hospital, or setting up a business of their own. Dingos of good moral standing are considered part of The Cycle, responsible for keeping the city running. They are the ones responsible for building

Bad players might find themselves dealing drugs on the street, paying off debts to a crime syndicate, or joining a street gang. Dingos of poor moral standing are considered The Outsiders, criminals living in the city's underbelly. Regardless of your moral standing, there's always the option of running for mayor. Politics, after all, knows no morals.

Your morals will also affect the way the city reacts to you. Your choices, in other words, will have consequences. Players will never be able to access all the game's features with a single Dingo, encouraging players to throw themselves fully into a single playstyle.

Player vs. Player activities

The factions are split up into two distinct city districts, though neutral districts also exist. Overall, members of The Cycle will try to build up and maintain their city, whereas The Outsiders will be rewarded for attempting to sabotage their mission. The former will be paid in salaries through the local government, whereas the latter will be paid by criminal organisations.

PvP consists of both combat and non-combat minigames. Dingos will be able to stake some of their $DG to take a risk and steal from their rivaling faction. Your success rate will depend on your morals, your technical skill, and sometimes on luck. Some minigames might not involve enemy players, but will still have an effect on the enemy faction.

City apartments

Players will be encouraged to carve out a slice of city for themselves and make it entirely their own. Apartments are still in the early stages of planning, but will exist as a largely optional add-on to the main game. Dingos can go furniture shopping, invite over their romantic partners, or simply hang out with other Dingos.

Will you own a place where you can hang up your favourite NFTs in framed pictures, decorate it with plants from floor to ceiling, or become a landlord and rent the place out? Players will shape the game's future.

Player feedback

We thank you for reading through our Gitbook! We encourage you to leave feedback on our Discord. We are very open to suggestions while the game is in full development. Everything written here is subject to change. You'll find the link to our Discord in Links & Contracts.

Dingos uses Synty asset packs to speed along game development. In the future, we will be creating our own assets.
